APPLY event: Best practices in teaching Computational Fluid Dynamics courses in the EU

On 9 November 2020 a training event was organised, focusing on the Computational Fluid Dynamics teaching best practices and experiences. More specifically, the event agenda included the following topics:

  • Hands on work. Writing a simple incompressible Navier-Stokes solver | Presentation by: Manel Soria)
  • Elliptic PDEs, their physical meaning and numerical solution | Presentation by: Polycarpos Papadopoulos
  • Discussion of the teaching experiences. Proposals.
  • Presentation by BETA company of their mesh generation and postprocessing software as educational tools – discussion with the company on the possibility for apply partners to use them free of charge.
